Materials about each company considered for the Luxury area including product images, company biography, price list, booth photo and press materials are reviewed by a jury.

A native of Mexico City, Lichi moved with her family to South Florida, where she earned her design degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and opened Perla Lichi Design. From her 22 years of hands on design experience and extensive marketing in local, national and international publications, Perla Lichi, ASID, has truly made a name for herself. This became readily apparent from her first trip to the Middle East several years ago when she discovered a wide following of “fans” who for years had collected magazine feature stories about her.

“At our first trade show, several people came by the booth carrying these magazines,” recalls the tall, charismatic designer. “They would point to the pictures showing us what they wanted for their own homes. Over the last several years, more and more international clients have sought us out because they want the ‘look’ we give. Once I realized that demand was real and growing, I began traveling all over the world providing these clients the personal, rofessional custom interior design services.”

Ms. Lichi was recently commissioned to design a penthouse for retired Bosnia soccer star, Emir Granov, in one of the most prestigious areas of Sarajevo. When asked to explain why he selected someone who had never set foot in Bosnia, Granov recalled that in 2001, during his time in Madrid, he came across a copy of a magazine with international distribution. “I saw photos of an oceanside penthouse Ms. Lichi had designed and knew then that one day I would engage her services.”

Early in 2007, Perla Lichi Design Dubai was formed and is currently designing villas and palaces, hotels and condominiums in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah), in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait … Bosnia, Ukraine, Egypt, England, Cypress, Mexico and Panama. Most of the design work is actually completed in the US. Many products and the majority of custom services are exported from the US to ensure top quality and guarantee a Perla Lichi original.

“Once people realized that I would travel to see their projects myself, I learned that they would also be willing to import our products and services to ensure that the job represents entirely my vision and not that of an imposter,” Ms. Lichi explains.

The Dubai office provides a support base for Perla Lichi Design throughout the Middle East and beyond, helping coordinate targeted efforts in sales and marketing and important administrative details including coordination and shipping.
