Client Profile - A successful European businessman and investor commissioned Perla Lichi to create a luxurious home where he could vacation and entertain comfortably.

Design Details - The distinctive architecture of the house with a grand entrance tower highlighted in stained glass sets the tone for this Mediterranean-style home. As one enters, a spectacular view of Fort Lauderdale’s Intracoastal Waterway is flanked by two staircases, leading to the master suite and guest bedrooms on the second floor. A sculpted area carpet delineates the seating area, composed of two kidney-shaped sofas and four Bergere chairs arranged around two magnificent cocktail tables with an alabaster-and-bronze chandelier centered above. Custom silk draperies are highlighted with medallions. Applied molding creates frames for mirrors that were added in the dining room to create interest and reflect the water view. A custom-built buffet in maple is highlighted with special hand-painted wood tops. A large, rectangular table is supported with two pedestal bases, custom made to coordinate with the buffet.
